Meditation for all

I also work for the award winning Awake Meditation team, running sessions for communities and corporate organisations. Follow AWAKE for more info or to book a course.

Meditation classed can be adapted to your needs: from deep relaxation to dealing with acute stress, anxiety and depression. All my work is suitable for secular populations with or without a faith or belief.

In 2004 MBCT was recommended by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) and has since been given ‘key priority’ status for those suffering with recurrent depression. It reduces the risk of depressive relapse/recurrence , and without negative side-effects.

I specialize in two particular MBCT courses:

Finding Peace in a Frantic World: A real peoples’ favourite. This course was written by Professor Mark Williams and follows a guided book which accompanies the course and provides specific home practices to deepen learning. The course can be run over 6 or 8 weeks and is 90 minutes long.

Minfulness ‘for Life!’: the latest iteration of the classic MBCT course designed by Oxford University. This course is adapted from the original and is designed for ‘everyday people’, with or without mental struggles, who simply want to experience mindfulness and its potential benefits such as stress reduction and increased quality of life. This is it! MBCT-L is an 8 week course with 2 hour sessions.

An example of what the sessions look like can be found here.
